Ember began in Oxford as a way to keep risk assessments and method statements current on live sites. In hundreds of conversations with UK contractors, and then on their sites, the same thing kept showing up: the paperwork was slow to write, slower to review, and wrong by the time the job started because the drawing, the method or the crew had changed.

So we built the thing that does the paperwork with you. Ember drafts the pack from the job, checks a subcontractor's pack against your own checklist with every point quoted, runs the point-of-work checks from the phone, and flags what no longer agrees when something changes. Your people supervise every page and sign every decision. Nothing goes out unsigned.

We are two founders and a pre-seed company, backed by Sterling Road and the University of Oxford, built with UK tier-1 contractors and a university estates team, and since August 2026 building from San Francisco for customers on both sides of the Atlantic.
